‘The Stories that we tell’

The subject area for these photographic pieces were based around six Liverpool fans and their connection with Liverpool Football Club. The photographs were taken at a home match in the 19/20 season against title rivals for the premier league trophy. The photographs taken around Anfield link to these fans and their personal stories.

The reason for choosing Liverpool Football fans was because of the historical successes and current resurgence of the club and local area. In addition, the project and title of the book is influenced by a phrase the manager Jurgen Klopp said in his first press conference as manager in 2015, in which it was time to turn ‘doubters into believers’
(Klopp, 2015).
